Where are the retreats be held?
The retreats are held at hotels and conference centers across the State of Ohio. They provide great lodging, food, meeting rooms and activities that meet our needs.
Besides keynote, peer and clinician speakers, what other services are provided?
First Responders’ Bridge offers relaxing activities for First Responders and their significant other to help them find hope and healing. Depending on the location of each particular retreat, couples can expect activities such as group yoga (voluntary), chair massages, indoor/outdoor swimming, fitness room, sauna, and many more. Our goal is to not only heal the First Responder but the family unit as well.
How much do the retreats cost?
Retreats are free of cost. The retreat, lodging, food and activities are all paid for with donations from our caring, thoughtful sponsors who value and appreciate our First Responder heroes. All you have to pay for is the transportation to get to and from the retreat.
Are children welcome at the retreat?
The retreat is reserved for adults, but we have a Child Clinical Psychologist with over 27 years experience who will be available at the retreats along with our other Clinicians and Chaplains to provide you with counseling and guidance.
Is this a religious organization?
No, however First Responders’ Bridge provides keynote and peer speakers who have knowledge on First Responder trauma through their own personal experience. They will be telling their stories on what helped them get through their individual situations. Some stories may be faith-based. There will also be a discussion on spiritual survival for First Responders.
